We are pleased to have our partners from the Marriott Hotel introduce a new menu of food options, see our menu page here on the website to review all the selections.  We’ve missed their support and are very happy they have returned!

NOTE: If you are having food please arrive when doors open so that kitchen can provide enough time to prepare and serve your orders.

Please review our new COVID-19 policies and procedures and limitations.

We will only allow 60 people per show to protect the customers, the staff, and the artists.

We hope to grow this slowly while keeping our customers 6 ft. from each other to practice social distancing

We’ve instituted a number of new measures to help insure the health and comfort of our guests.

These steps include but aren’t limited to:

Laminated/Protected Menus which are sanitized and wiped between uses
Sanitation stations at host stand and within the club
Fresh table linens between every set
Face masks for all employees
Limited seating and distance restrictions
Tables limited to parties of six
Accepting all sick requests from staff and performers
Enforcing self-quarantine for staff members who travel

Thank you for your patience and understanding, we want to bring you the full Jewell experience as quickly as possible but we know it’s critical to act slowly and deliberately.

Tim Kobza is a Los Angeles based guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, writing and recording music with attitude, movement, and authenticity inspired by an extensive career playing jazz, funk, latin, soul, R and B and improvised music.

Born in Omaha Tim made his way to Denton Texas to study Jazz guitar performance at the acclaimed North Texas State University.

Living in Dallas after college he embarked on an international touring and recording career that began while playing with Carlos Guedes and Desvio. This was followed by working for several years as a sideman with Joe McBride. The West Coast beckoned, Tim was offered a full scholarship and relocated to the west coast to pursue a Masters Degree in Studio-Guitar Performance at USC Thornton School Of Music.  His touring and recording continued with R and B artists Jon B., Jack Herrera, Debbie Gibson, James Torme, Francis Yip (China) Lee Seung Hwan (South Korea) to name a few.

On the artistic side Tim formed Moderato, a band he co-founded with drummer John Molo The band was signed to Verve records, the Blue Thumb imprint under the tutelage of Tommy LiPuma, ultimately recording 2 albums and touring for several years.  With this Post-Modereko project, the music journey continues, taking some deep and unexpected turns. In an attempt to capture live band chemistry “Montecito Heights” explores musical soundscapes laden with tight and loose grooves, guitar textures and hooks.

The project has one Bossa Nova inspired vocal song, a collaboration with singer extraordinaire, Amanda Achen titled “The Song That Is In Your Heart”.  The musicians featured include west coasters Wayne Bergeron, Wes Smith, Jake Reed, Herman Matthews, Kait Dutton and Brian Hargrove. John Dearth from Charlottesville, Matt Wallace from Omaha and Arlan Schierbaum contributing from Greece, among others.

“Much of this project came together during covid, the pause from live music allowed for creativity on another level. These songs were constructed from virtually assembled performances from some of my most formidable and admired musicians/friends, I am so grateful for their contributions”.

Tim’s passion for all things music, flows into his teaching at USC’s Thornton school of music where his professorship has been practiced for over 2 decades.
