Bio: At only 19 years old, Jack McLaughlin is no rookie in the music world. After a gruesome baseball accident at age 10, McLaughlin was left with a broken jaw and a note from the doctor that read, “No physical activities for a year.” With the inability to pursue any interests in sports, time was rather directed toward a newfound passion for songwriting and music. McLaughlin has been writing, recording, and playing live music since the accident in 2010.

Starting with bass, and later learning to play the drums and guitar, McLaughlin is a self taught multi-instrumentalist out of necessity and boredom. After finding no one else his own age to play with and having extra time previously spent at baseball practice, McLaughlin decided it would be easier to learn and record the parts himself. Nearly every part on the 2019 release “Covered in Black” was written by Jack.
