MARCOS & SABOR
Marcos & Sabor
Marcos & Sabor is a dynamic array of musicians that perform a variety of music that consists of Latin American & American genres from cumbias to bachata to great American classics such as the Doobie Brothers, the Beatles and much more. The group incorporates Latin rhythms to classic standards that bring life & energy to the music.
The group was originally started in the 1990s by Marcos and a number of students at the University of Nebraska Omaha under the name Sabor. The group of students wanted to share their love of culture through their bicultural influences of American and Latino musical classics. Since then the group has performed all over the Midwest for festivals, universities, schools, private events and much more. Marcos & Sabor has been one of the only groups to headline Jazz on the Green three times over the past decade.
The band includes drums, guitar, keyboard, accordion, congas, timbales, bass, violin, trumpet and incredible vocals. The collective rhythms are sure to keep everyone on their feet and dancing to the vibes of this unique entourage of incredible sounds and musicians.
Featured musicians will be Marcos Eduardo (lead guitar), Michael Pujado (timbales). Tomas Morales (congas), Natalie Huerta (drums) Salvador Robles (vocals), Tori Huerta (vocals), Agustin Hernandez (bass & accordion), Nadia Maudoo (violin), Marcus Nunez (trumpet), Kevin Lloyd (keyboard)
