Dreion is an electrifying singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and performing artist from Omaha, Nebraska. He is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Songwriting minoring in Africana Studies who balances his career and performing life while also being a husband and a father. Dreion is a survivor of the foster care system and uses his music to heal, inspire, and shed light as an advocate for foster care reform. He currently partners with national foster care organizations such as Earth, Wind, & Fire’s Music Is Unity Foundation, First Star Academy, and Mixed Roots Foundation as an ambassador and honorary board member to highlight the needs of foster youth. In 2020, original music from Dreion’s debut EP “I AM LIFE ” was featured in the film “Foster Boy ” produced by Shaquille O’Neal to shed light on the struggles and challenges foster youth face within the system. His music can be best described as a combination of Gospel, Soul, Funk, and R&B, taking inspiration from Prince, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Michael Jackson, and many more. In 2019, he was awarded “Performer of The Year” by the Berklee Urban Service Awards and he is a season 19 American Idol golden ticket recipient. He is also a recipient and alumnus of both the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship Program and The Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship Program. Dreion has had the privilege of performing at many prestigious venues and events including the College World Series, The Holland Performing Arts Center, Gillette Stadium, TD Garden, and the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
