Andre Vander Velde
For the past ten years, Andre Vander Velde has been sharing his warm soulful voice with people all over Omaha. He blends singer-songwriter acoustic soul, the likes of Bill Withers and Amos Lee, with the funk/R&B attitude of Prince and Otis Redding.
He recently performed at the Capitol District Star Contest where he was the runner-up finalist. Now he’s teaming up with his three-piece band Jaguar James, who were nominated for OEAA’s Best Soul in 2019. They provide the steady foundation of groove and rhythm for Vander Velde’s smooth vocals to soar over.
